DeCharge, a U.S.-based peer-to-peer charging network, has announced its partnership with Wallbox, a global provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging and energy management solutions, to make EV charging more accessible and community-driven.
The collaboration introduces a new way for users to participate in the EV transition. Homeowners, small businesses, and workplaces will be able to share their chargers with other drivers through DeCharge’s web browser, and may receive compensation while helping expand charging access in their communities.
For drivers, the collaboration is expected to create more places to charge nearby, especially in neighborhoods where public charging stations remain limited. By connecting people who have chargers with those who need them, Wallbox and DeCharge aim to help make charging simple, local, and available to everyone.
