Amazon Business has reached $60 billion in annualized gross sales, marking a major milestone for Amazon’s business to business ecommerce division as the company strengthens its position in the global procurement market. The achievement highlights the rapid adoption of Amazon Business by organizations of all sizes, from small businesses to multinational corporations, as companies increasingly digitize purchasing and supply chain operations. The latest milestone reinforces Amazon’s growing influence beyond consumer retail and underscores the expanding role of business ecommerce in enterprise procurement.
Amazon Business expands its enterprise customer base
Amazon said more than 11 million organizations worldwide now use Amazon Business, with over 1.8 million new organizations joining during the first half of the year. Since launching in the United States in 2015, the platform has expanded into 11 international markets and now serves 97 of the Fortune 100 companies alongside hospitals, educational institutions, manufacturers, hotels, government agencies, and hundreds of thousands of small businesses. The company continues to grow its product catalog, reporting nearly 30% growth in available products across categories such as office supplies, repair tools, fresh groceries, and office furniture.
Procurement savings fuel Amazon Business growth
Amazon attributes much of the platform’s growth to its focus on reducing procurement costs and simplifying purchasing workflows. According to the company, Amazon Business-specific discounts helped organizations save more than $1 billion globally in 2025, while Prime Business members collectively saved over $880 million in shipping fees during the same period. Businesses also benefit from procurement tools including approval workflows, multi-user accounts, spending analytics, tax exemption support, and purchasing system integrations designed to improve operational efficiency and spending visibility.
Amazon strengthens its B2B ecommerce strategy
The $60 billion annual sales milestone highlights Amazon’s broader strategy to become a dominant player in enterprise commerce as organizations continue shifting procurement online. Amazon Business has evolved from a marketplace for office supplies into a comprehensive procurement platform serving enterprises across multiple industries. With expanding product selection, business-focused technology, AI powered purchasing tools, and continued international growth, Amazon is positioning Amazon Business as one of its fastest-growing long-term businesses. Industry analysts view the platform as a significant growth engine that complements Amazon’s retail and cloud computing operations while deepening customer relationships across the business sector.
