SpaceXSI, the artificial intelligence company behind Grok, has introduced The X Subscription, a unified subscription service that combines Grok AI, Cursor’s AI powered coding tools, Grok Bot and X Premium features under one pricing structure. Announced in October 2026, the new offering includes five tiers ranging from a free plan to an Ultra package costing $200 per month, giving users a single subscription for artificial intelligence, software development and social media features.
The launch marks a significant change in how SpaceXSI packages its growing AI ecosystem. Instead of requiring customers to manage separate subscriptions for Grok, Cursor and X Premium, the company now offers a unified service that combines conversational AI, coding agents, content creation and premium social networking benefits. The move also positions SpaceXSI to compete more directly with technology companies that bundle AI assistants and productivity tools into subscription based platforms.
According to the company’s official announcement, The X Subscription aims to support the full process of thinking, creating, building and sharing. Users can access Grok for AI conversations and media generation, use Cursor’s coding agents to develop software, and connect their X accounts to receive premium platform benefits. The company says the unified structure also provides more included usage for its own AI models compared with comparable previous subscription plans.
Five X Subscription Tiers and Their Prices
The new subscription service offers five plans designed for different levels of AI usage, from casual users to professional developers and businesses. While the free tier provides limited access, the paid plans increase the amount of AI usage available across supported Grok and Cursor services.
The Free plan gives users a starting point for exploring Grok and Cursor alongside standard X features. The Plus plan, priced at $8 per month or $80 annually, expands AI access and adds X Premium benefits, including a verification checkmark and creator tools when users connect an eligible X account.
At $30 per month, Premium combines the benefits of several previous subscriptions, including SuperGrok, Cursor Pro and X Premium+, which SpaceXSI says previously cost a combined $90 per month. The plan includes four times the Plus usage allowance and access to Grok Bot, which provides AI teammates for completing tasks.
The Super tier costs $100 per month and provides 15 times the usage allowance of Plus, while the Ultra plan reaches $200 per month with 50 times the Plus allowance. These higher tiers target users who rely heavily on AI for software development, research, content creation and other demanding workflows. Annual billing is also available for paid plans, with Ultra priced at $2,000 per year.
Shared AI Usage Changes How Subscribers Work
One of the most important features of The X Subscription is its shared AI usage pool. Paid subscribers can draw from the same eligible allowance when using supported Grok models through Grok applications and Cursor, allowing them to move between AI research, coding and other tasks without managing separate first-party usage quotas for each product. SpaceXSI refreshes the included allowance weekly, with higher priced plans providing larger pools.
For software developers, the integration could make AI assisted programming more convenient by combining Cursor’s coding agents with access to Grok models under a single subscription. Users can work with AI to explore technical problems, generate code and refine software projects, while also using Grok for research, writing and content creation. Grok Bot adds another layer by offering AI teammates designed to carry out tasks, extending the service beyond conventional chatbot interactions.
However, the shared allowance does not cover every AI model or usage scenario. Third-party models available through Cursor, including supported external models, incur separate charges through additional usage credits rather than drawing from the included first-party allowance. Users who regularly rely on external models should therefore review the pricing and usage terms before choosing a plan.
The subscription also introduces a new approach to X Premium access. Depending on the selected tier and account eligibility, subscribers can receive features such as a verification checkmark, creator tools, longer posts and reduced advertising. Higher tiers offer more extensive benefits, giving customers a way to combine their social media presence with their AI and software development workflows.
Existing SuperGrok, Cursor and X Premium subscribers do not need to switch immediately. SpaceXSI says their current plans, prices and features will continue unless they choose to migrate. Eligible users can review the changeover options in their billing settings, where switching may trigger cancellation of eligible existing plans and prorated refunds for unused time. Customers who pay for Cursor through Apple’s App Store should check the separate cancellation requirements before moving.
What the Unified Subscription Means for the AI Market
SpaceXSI’s strategy reflects a wider shift in the technology industry towards bundled AI services. As competition intensifies among AI developers, software platforms and productivity providers, companies increasingly need to demonstrate value beyond access to a single chatbot or model. By combining Grok, Cursor and X Premium, SpaceXSI can appeal to customers who want AI assistance, coding tools and social media benefits without juggling multiple eligible subscriptions.
The pricing structure also creates a clear path for customers to scale their AI usage. Casual users can begin with the free tier, while developers and professionals can pay for larger usage allowances as their workloads grow. Businesses can access Premium, Super and Ultra team plans, with features such as centralised billing, administration controls, usage analytics and single sign on. Enterprise customers can also manage Grok and Cursor through a unified dashboard.
Nevertheless, the $200 Ultra plan will not suit every customer. Users who primarily need social networking or occasional AI assistance may find the lower tiers more appropriate, while developers who frequently use third party models must account for additional usage charges. The real value of each subscription will depend on how much customers use the included tools, the limits attached to their chosen plan and whether the combined service replaces expenses they already incur.
Ultimately, The X Subscription represents an effort by SpaceXSI to turn its connected AI products into a broader digital productivity ecosystem. Its success will depend on whether the convenience of unified billing, shared AI usage and integrated coding tools outweighs the complexity of multiple tiers and additional charges. For developers, creators and AI enthusiasts, the new model offers a compelling alternative to managing separate subscriptions, while intensifying competition in the market for paid AI services.
